RailPlan International, Inc. is a full service passenger rail vehicle company. Our main focus is on supplying “Turn-Key/Start to Finish” solutions for our clients. We have worked with many of the major railroad authorities and car builders in the world with our primary focus on the United States market.

Presently RailPlan operates 4 distinctive business lines:

Mechanical Services Group: provides a full complement of maintenance services including vehicle and facility maintenance and repair services and warehouse management. In addition to maintenance and repair tasks, RailPlan also provides turn key vehicle rehabilitation, upgrades, and modifications in conjunction with our Engineering and Vehicle Products groups.

Vehicle Products Group: was created in 1990 in response to a change in the market requiring “turn key” packages. RailPlan provides concepts, detailed design and engineering, manufacturing, test, and installation of a wide variety of products, with its focus primarily on vehicle overhaul projects. Parts are manufactured, assembled and tested in our 50,000 square foot production facility in Baltimore, Maryland.
 

Consulting Group: was created in 1986 to support the needs of transportation agencies and railcar builders. This group currently has a multi year consulting contract with Virginia Railway Express (VRE) and STV. The Consulting Group provides typical consulting services and also provides turn key solutions including vehicle upgrades and modifications.

Engineering Support Group: supports the other three groups and support to rail car manufacturers. Engineering services include all aspects of engineering and design for everything from individual components to complete vehicles.
