RailPlan is currently supplying complete room modules for implementation in Amtrak’s Capstone 2001 Fleet Remanufacturing Project.   

The room modules include the following:

° ADA Lavatory Module

° Unisex Lavatory Module

° RailFone Telephone Booths

° Equipment Rooms

° Aisle Panels

The Capstone 2001 Fleet are equipped for the next millennium.  The RailFone booth includes an illuminated writing surface, a data port for laptop computers, and a flip seat for improved accessibility.  The design intent for the lavatory modules was to eliminate negative issues often associated with on-board lavatories by both passengers and maintenance personnel. These rooms are not only stylish in design and well-lit, but are also easy to install.
