RailPlan is working with Amtrak to develop a fleet of vehicles for Overland Cruise Operator, Oregon Rail.  The vehicles are remanufactured Santa-Fe, high-level, stainless steel Budd cars.  The interiors are designed for a very upscale clientele and for very long, but comfortable journeys.  The style is Art Deco and “90s Nostalgic Railroad” combined. 

Due to long distances covered in a typical trip, reliability and maintainability have been give very high priority, including  the creation of a dedicated laundry maintenance car.  Crew dorms and crew dorm/galley cars have also been developed.  The train set consists of 22 cars, including a mix of sleepers, diners, a lounge spa, a standard lounge, and an impressive observation-lounge car.
